the donnas, gurlkicksboi but i dont think there around anymore If there is a God in heaven you will be right - let us pray. Maybe they're just laying low while their handlers write more songs and concoct a new image for them, because that last album sure didn't bring them anywhere near what the Go Gos have accomplished. Can we all say overhyped and undertalented? Wait, there is a God -- the Lunachicks played in Washington, DC last month and may just play some more shows in the future (another benefit definitely in November, I've heard). Can we safely say a comeback? Please please please. Praise the Lord!! ;D

Hey. I just found out about ROCKGRL not too long ago, and this is an awesome magazine. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody knew of any all female metal/punk bands. Besides Kittie. I've been searching for a while and the only all female bands I have found have been pop/punk bands. And I'm looking for something much harder than that. [glow=red,2,300]Thanx[/glow] How about Avril? ;D

Check out my 3 piece Modicum in LA www.myspace.com/modicum or www.modicummusic.comWe've been auditioning several female replacement drummers to no avail. We'll keep tryin but we will be auditioning guys as well pretty soon. We just want someone who's flippin good at what they do and who fits with us. It's unfortunate that there aren't as many girls who play.

My good friend Kate who writes for Spin and has her own radio talk show about music told me about a girl band from the 60's called (the) Luv'd Ones. She said they looked like a typical girl group with how they dressed but their music was damn good. I haven't tried to look them up yet but I value her opinion when it comes to good music.

Hey! I remember Girlschool!! I saw them live about a hundred years ago!! They rocked. I don't suppose you can still get a hold of their music? I certainly don't have anything anymore. Cheers, Kaz Mitchell www.kazmitchell.com.au
