I just got a bass for christmas and started lessons mostly because I love the sound And I don't personally know any girls who play the bass. Tell me all you smart bass people out there, is a Fender Squier Affinity P-bass a good bass? Not particularly but it'll see you through until you start to get ideas about what you want.

ive been in music my whole life... kinda sad, ive been playing trombone since i was about 5 (sounds kinda crazy but true) and i always thought the bass was pretty, and i loooooved to hear someone play slap on it and once i was old enough i felt i needed to try it. bass is also really easy to relate to trombone so i was pretty comfy with it when i first started

I started play bass when I was 16, so now I'm playing since four years.... but before I started to bazz I was dancing for ca. 10 years, played djembé for 11 years, piano for 1 year.... and perhaps I'll pick up piano again..... why bass? hmm don't konw exactly, I just wanted it! perhaps I wanted sth "more special than guitar"
