In the Magazine section of the news paper there was an article about the spring fashons saying that this spring all the "Girlie girls" will be very excited because Pink is in.
I am not excited, I myself like black, or gray, or white.

But ya gotta love the raspberry and cotton candy colors on this board - took a million tries to come up with 'em.
Pink is the new black. Haha.

The rasberry color is very nice. Good work on finding it.
I did not care for the way The Post Gazette referred to all women as "Girlie Girls". Plenty of us are not.

Absolutely!! Every time someone decides "what women want" in the media it has something to do with fashion, major appliances, tarot readings or liposuction. Am I a freak because I DON'T feel the need for an extreme make-over??

I hear you. Everything on me is real and I intend it to stay that way.
I am not a fashon plate, nor do I bow down to what society "expects a woman to be". Here's to the unique individual!

Here here!!! Although I'm not a a Shania Twain fan (not even sure if I spelled that right) I did catch her on Oprah with Melissa Etheridge and Dolly Parton. She performed a song off her latest endeavor, about women (or woman) and I was quite impressed. Check it out if you can.

I guess the threat of Roe vs. Wade going down the tubes is forcing some sisterly solidarity from even the most apolitical female rock/pop stars---heard bits of feminist rebellion on Courtney Love's solo LP, too.....

That would be nice, but considering that one of 'em's not likely to get pregnant unexpectantly and the other two are (almost) beyond childbearing, I doubt that it even registered with their respective publicity campaign directors.

I dislike the girlie girls, its a combination of how they dress, and how the have to wear whats 'in'. Girls like that make other girls look dumb, I have some friends like that so I can't put hate.
