I'm curious. Does anyone own the Behringer V-Amp? If so, what do you think about it - strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, etc.?

I hate behringer everything they make falls apart (apart from their cable tester which is a good buy)
Played around with that v-amp ages ago from what I can remember I personally didn't think highly of it (although I'm not a big fan of any multi effects processors for guitars) although it's quite clearly layed out for people who don't want to do too much fiddling with knobs the effects sound really erm -processed and the more you hear them the worse they sound especially the distortions... I doubt it would be very useful on a stage being that it's not got a foot switch but I did see a ponsy hendrix wannabe use one fine once
in saying all that if it was 50 quid I'd probably by one though I'm sure if you sinft through the effects and edit them you'd be able to come up with something half decent.

I own the V-Amp Pro (rack unit) and am pretty happy with it. Just like any other digital modeling type processor you have to mess around with it to dial in the sound you're looking for. I use mine for recording. Not sure I'd recommend it for live use though. Behringer is a "low end" product for sure but for the money I think it's great. I own a few different Behringer products and haven't had any problems so far. www.jeezluweez.com

Hey insidently that I saw someone playing live with a di'd v-amp yesterday I'm still convinced it's a pile of shit but for that particular application -electro stuff; it did mesh well with the rest of the music.
oh and prs deb... Give it time and you will learn to hate as I do

The V-Amp does come with a pedal now, FYI. I've known several people who owned Behringer gear and never had problems. They are on the low-end of things and are fine for entry-level musicians on a tight budget.
Maggis, have you had something from Behringer break on you?

Yeah actually the V-Amp Pro can be used with a midi pedal to switch channels, though I've never tried it. Maggis....maybe one day I'll be sorry I bought Behringer equipment but so far so good. I own 3 of their rack units and haven't had any problems. Which Behringer products have you owned and what happened to cause you to hate them so much? Just wondering. www.jeezluweez.com

I won't buy any beringer except the cable tester (which really is a good buy) beringer is thrust upon me...
ultra curve ultra graph the offenders I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy... I've rushed round once too many scratching my head trying to figure out what is going wrong with a sound system only to find the culprit evil beringer- pile of shit.
