I do most of my composing on keyboards, but live, I am a singer. ;D

We got a live one!
I play some keys as well but my weapon of choice when I compose is the guitar. When I write using a keyboard or piano I end up playing some old school gangsta rap bassline or end up with odd phrasings. It is fun, I miss having one around. When it comes to scoring film I prefer the piano and synths.

When it comes to scoring film I prefer the piano and synths. WERD!!! Piano + midi + Finale (or Sonar) = usable score. <<< is far too lazy to transcribe by hand

I'm a keybordist and vocalist!
I've played live a couple of times, but I don't have a band right now.

Ok this has all got a bit technical so I thought I'd lower the tone...
What the fuck are you all talking about? (posh bastards)
And why does every body talk about themselves in such a random fashion? (the lady above)
Ok now I've got that out the way...
Keyboards are really good for writing, if I write something on a piano it tends to come out all jazzy and shit but the minute you take the chords and put them onto guitar or bass (my weapon of choice) they can totally change... Music style is not just the notes and chords you play but what you play them on what effects you use how you play them accompanyment bla bla bla
My band is a punk band but if you actually break down and anylise some of the songs and their keys time signatures etc a lot of it is jazz based and other fucked up crazy shit like that. (which is why my band is pure evil)
I love keyboards when they are attached to a computor you can do so much fucking shit with the same tune it's unreal...
Every musician should know a little keyboard and a little guitar no matter what you play they are both very good instuments (especailly keyboard) because of their pitch range... You get an understanding of chord progressions, keys and all that boring stuff that helps you to become a better musician. Infact; learn as many instruments as you can because it makes understand the stuff you are doing on yours in relation to everybody else in your band... It also makes you a better person. ;D
